Following the first introductory meeting on 11th September, the second working group meeting of our latest SAPEA project Making sense of science under conditions of complexity and uncertainty took place on 29th October at the prestigious Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
The Making Sense of Science SAPEA Working Group is formed by 16 experts from 13 countries. The Academia Europaea is the lead academy on this project with work to be carried out by the Cardiff Hub. AE was represented at the meeting by Academic Director Professor Ole Petersen and Louise Edwards. We were delighted that Pearl Dykstra, Deputy Chair of the European’s Commission Group of Chief Scientific Advisors, attended the meeting.
The first draft of evidence review report is due mid-December. Further information on Making Sense of science can be found on the European Commission’s website or read more news stories about Making Sense of Science.
