150th Anniversary of the Norwegian Church is celebrated with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Cardiff Hub is supporting and participating in the celebration of the Festival of Light & Friendship: Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, which will mark the 150th Anniversary of the Norwegian Church. The Cardiff Hub has close links with Norway via the Academia Europaea Bergen Knowledge Hub.

The lighting ceremony is a free event, open to all, and it is expected to be a reunion of many old friends and supporters of the Norwegian Church and the Welsh Norwegian Society over the years.

For this special 150th anniversary year, Hordaland Fylkeskommune are making a gift of a new living Christmas tree that will be planted outside the Norwegian Church.

The event will include freshly cooked Norwegian waffles on sale, entertainment and drop-in children’s craft activities. The Gallery Gift Shop at will also be open all day.
