‘The future of research: assessing the impact of Plan S’ international conference
Cardiff University and its strategic partner KU Leuven co-organised a successful international conference on Plan S on 6th November 2019 in Leuven. Plan S is the initiative that drives the transition to full open access in Europe by 2021.
Cardiff University is a signatory of DORA
Professor Nora de Leeuw MAE, Pro-Vice Chancellor, International and Europe, Cardiff University, was a panellist on the session examining the impact of Plan S on research-intensive institutions, alongside Professor Reine Meylaerts, Vice-Rector Research Policy at KU Leuven. Professor de Leeuw informed the audience that Cardiff University had signed the DORA Principles, highlighting the benefits of open research and responsible use of research metrics.
