The Cardiff Hub was delighted to attend the event organised by the Welsh Centre for Public Policy on Ageing and SPARK (the future social science park at Cardiff University), which took place on 24^th February.

The Cardiff Hub was there to promote the SAPEA Evidence Review Report, Transforming the future of ageing.

The keynote speaker was Dr Anna Dixon, Director for the Centre for Ageing Better, who drew on evidence about addressing the policy challenges of ageing and the solutions – the need for national leadership, action by a range of organisations and commitment by all citizens.  She was joined by the Older People’s Commissioner, Heléna Herklots, who aims to make Wales ‘the best place in the world to grow older’, and Dr Martin Hyde of the Centre for Innovative Ageing at Swansea University, who urged us all to celebrate the positive aspects of ageing and to counter ageism.
