Marian Verhelst wins André Mischke YAE Prize 2021


The Young Academy of Europe has announced that the André Mischke YAE Prize 2021 has been awarded to Professor Marian Verhelst





About Professor Marian Verhelst

Professor Verhelst is head of a research team at the MICAS laboratories (MICro-electronics And Sensors) at KU Leuven, Belgium. Her area of expertise includes microelectronics and chip design.

Professor Verhelst has been recognised for her international academic research, scientific outreach and policymaking. She will collect her award and deliver the André Mischke YAE Prize lecture at the joint annual AE /YAE meeting in Barcelona in October.

About the André Mischke YAE Prize

The Young Academy of Europe (YAE) Prize is awarded annually to early- to mid-career professionals in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contributions to key areas of the YAE, which include supporting science, evidence-based policymaking, science communication, and the future generation scientists and scholars in Europe. In 2019, the YAE Prize was renamed the ‘André Mischke Young Academy of Europe Prize for Science and Policy’ in honour of the late YAE Founding Chair, André Mischke.
