Food from the Oceans at the Swansea Science Festival 2018
The Cardiff Hub was delighted to be at the Swansea Science Festival 2018 on 3-4 November to promote the Food from the Oceans SAPEA report’s key messages. Louise Edwards, Cardiff Hub Manager, was at the event to support two exhibitions within the Aqua Sphere. We collaborated with Dr Ruth Callaway’s Marine Explorers activities on “Protecting our oceans and combatting climate change!” and with Dr Sara Barrento on the SMARTAQUA stand, “The sea is our Fishmonger”.
The materials used in the festival were specially designed to make the report’s key massages accessible to a wider audience. They were produced jointly by SAPEA (Science Advice for Policy by European Academies) and SAM (Scientific Advice Mechanism), in partnership with the Cardiff-based agency science made simple. Science made simple hosted two family workshops at the festival.
