Sovereignty, a Global Perspective: conference proceedings published
Christopher Smith MAE is editor of the proceedings and the conference was supported by Academia Europaea and the British Academy.
The publication is a result of an international conference, Sovereignty in a global perspective, which took place at the University of St Andrews in April 2019 and was proudly supported by AE Cardiff and AE’s Curien Fund. The conference was part of the 2019 programme of British Academy Conferences.
The volume, which has been published by Oxford University Press, examines the concept of sovereignty through a study of its long history and the realities of a globalised world.
Christopher Smith MAE, Chair in Ancient History at the University of St Andrews, publicised the work on social media, thanking the contributors and expressing his hope that it would inspire a mature debate.
