AE Cardiff Hub and Young Academy of Europe strengthen ties
The AE Cardiff Hub and the Young Academy of Europe (YAE) have entered a collaboration agreement with the aim of working together more closely and enhancing operational effectiveness.
In line with AE’s strategic priorities, the Hub will develop support for the professional development of European young scholars, through providing specific support to the YAE.
The agreement was put in place following discussions on how AE Cardiff could better support the Young Academy at the Hub’s Steering Group meeting in January. Chair of the Young Academy of Europe, Mangala Srivinas, attended the meeting on behalf of the YAE.
To further strengthen our commitment, the AE Cardiff Hub and the YAE will hold its first joint symposium on Plan S which is to take place at KU Leuven later this year.
The Young Academy of Europe was formally established in December 2012 as an independent association of top young researchers in Europe and has been affiliated to the Academia Europaea since that time. The dynamic and innovative group of recognized European young scientists has outspoken views about science and science policy. The YAE invites nomination and elects those emerging talents from across Europe who can demonstrate evidence of exceptional promise across the academic sections of Academia Europaea.
